The Wyoming diving team closed out the 2007-08 swimming and diving season on Saturday as they competed in platform diving at the NCAA Zone "E" Diving Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla.

On the men's side of the meet, freshman Mark Murdock led the way for the Cowboys. Murdock dove to a 14th place score of 469.65. Junior Tyler Miller was right behind Murdock and placed 15th with a score of 457.65. Freshman Kyle Bogner placed 17th with a mark of 379.00.

Sophomore Stephanie Ortiz was the only Cowgirl competing on Saturday. She placed 22nd with a score of 346.20.

"The team did a good job of competing today against a very good field," said UW diving coach Ben Herdt. "Our kids qualified for this meet on springboard and with us not having a platform to practice on, competing against kids who practice platform every day is very tough. Despite those circumstances, I thought our four kids got up there, Cowboy'd up and did very well."
