The Wyoming Cowboys recorded a regular-season sweep of archrival Colorado State this past Wednesday when they traveled to Fort Collins, Colo., and defeated the Rams 77-67. On Saturday, UW will try to record its second series sweep of the season versus a conference foe when it hosts the Utah Utes.

Wyoming (11-16 overall and 4-10 in the Mountain West Conference) will host Utah at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The Utes will bring a 15-11 overall record and a 6-7 conference mark into Saturday's game. The Cowboys won in Salt Lake City earlier this season by a final score of 69-64. UW had not won in Salt Lake City since the 2001-02 season, which is also the last season that Wyoming swept the Utes in a regular-season series.

For three University of Wyoming seniors Saturday will mark their last home game as members of the Wyoming Basketball program. Byron Geis from Gillette, Wyo., Brad Jones of Marked Tree, Ark., and Joseph Taylor from Los Angeles, Calif., will all be playing their final home game Saturday.

Geis walked on to the Wyoming Basketball program a year ago as a junior. His hard work and determination have resulted in him earning more and more playing time as this season has progressed. The Gillette, Wyo., native pulled down one rebound and handed out one assist in Wyoming's 77-67 road victory over Colorado State this past Wednesday. Last Saturday against UNLV, Geis grabbed two rebounds in 11 minutes versus UNLV.

Jones will conclude his Wyoming career having made his mark on a number of career categories at Wyoming. He enters today's game ranked 20th in school history in scoring, with 1,180 career points. Jones is one of only 32 players in the history of Cowboy Basketball to have scored 1,000 points. He also ranks No. 6 in career assists in school history, having handed out 344 during his three-year Wyoming career.

Taylor enjoyed the best scoring night of his Cowboy career this past Wednesday in Wyoming's 77-67 road win at CSU. He scored a career high 21 points, grabbed nine rebounds, blocked two shots and was credited with two steals, while adding four dunks to lead the Cowboys to a regular-season sweep of the Rams.

The three seniors will be honored on the court prior to the start of Saturday's game.

Saturday's game will be televised live on The Mtn. The Cowboys Sports Network radio broadcast will begin at 1:30 p.m.
