The Wyoming Cowboy golf team shot a team score of 313 (+25) and finished 14th of 14 teams on Saturday at the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas.

UW totaled 930 (+66) after shooting rounds of 310 (+22) and 307 (+19) on Friday.

Arkansas held onto their Day One lead and won the team title with a 54-hole mark of 867 (+3). Lamar took second place at 872 (+8).

"More good will come from this tournament than the scores reflect," said Cowboy head coach Joe Jensen. "It shows us where we need to be and what we need to work on. I'm glad we made the trip."

Wyoming's best event finish came from senior Zac Fisher who had a 54-hole total of 230 (+14). UW freshman Zach Zaremba totaled 231 (+15).

Baylor's Colston Williams took medalist honors in the field of 75 golfers with a three-round tally of 207 (-9). Arkansas' Andrew Landry and Sam Chavez, as well as UTEP's Roger Sloan tied for second place at 214 (-2).

The tournament was played at Laredo Country Club, measuring 7,241 yards, par 72.

The Cowboys' next event will be the Larry Nelson Collegiate Invite in Braselton, Ga., March 30 - April 1.
