Wayne State Athletics will host a Cheerleading tryout on April 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Matthaei Building Gym 109. If you would like to try out, please wear workout-type clothes and bring a valid physical form. For more information please email Heather Densmore at heather.densmore@hotmail.com.

Requirements
You must possess the following skills:

- Be able to do either a standing back handspring or round-off back handspring with no spot on the gym floor
- Be able to perform excellent jumps (toe touch, pike, herkie, etc.)

- Possess excellent technique/arm motions
- Have stunting experience

Eligibility
To be eligible to tryout you must:

1) Be a full-time student currently enrolled at Wayne State University
2) Provide proof of current enrollment with student I.D. number OR submit a copy of your letter of acceptance to the University
3) Have a valid physical form

Obligations
You must carry a full load of classes and maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher. Practices for Spring/Summer semester will be held in the Matthaei building, with the days and times to be determined. Cheer athletes will be expected to weight train two times per week.
