The Wayne State University Athletic Department received five awards from NACMA (National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators).

Initiated in 2003, the NACMA Awards program honors outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions. Awards are presented in 18 categories, with each category divided into three groups based upon school size and conference affiliations to promote fairness. A total of 1,300 entries were received for the 2007-08 year.

WSU was placed in Group III.

The Warriors won three Gold: Promotional/Schedule Poster-Football, Promotional/Schedule Poster-Olympic Sport (men's and women's hockey) and promotional t-shirt design.

Wayne State earned a Silver for student promotion and a Bronze for Promotional/Schedule Poster-Basketball.
