DETROIT - In the second game of Sunday's twinbill, the Wayne State baseball team (14-10, 12-0 GLIAC) won in dramatic fashion once again, finishing on the positive end of a 3-2 extra-inning result against Hillsdale (7-15, 2-8 GLIAC) to sweep the series and remain unbeaten in conference play.

Ryan LaPensee (LaSalle, Ont./St. Thomas of Villanova) drove in the game-winning run in the eighth inning with a base hit, scoring Charlie Dunneback (Lansing, Mich./Grand Ledge) who reached on a Hillsdale error to lead off the frame.

An RBI single in the third inning by Witczak tied the game at one, and WSU took a 2-1 lead in the fifth on an RBI double by Kaminski.

Hillsdale answered in the sixth with an RBI double by Jesse Smith before Kaminski came on to shut down the Charger offense.
