Lakeland, Fla. - The Wayne State University softball team (5-7 overall) took a break Monday evening from the Rebel Spring Games to play a doubleheader at Florida Southern (13-3).

In the opener, WSU scored once in the top of the first but the Moccasins pushed two runs across in the bottom of the seventh for the 2-1 win.

FSC got a leadoff walk from Natalie Lang and a base hit from Angela Williams in the seventh. Peggy Alex put down a sacrifice bunt to move both runners into scoring position, bringing Ashlinn Rodgers to the plate as a pinch-hitter with one out. She promptly singled into left center, easily scoring Lang and Williams for Florida Southern's third walk-off win of the season.

WSU's Lindsey Perry was hit by a pitch to start the game, took second on a wild pitch and moved to third on a bunt single by Amanda Van't Wout. A single by Sarah Berry brought in Perry with the first run of the game.

Warrior pitcher Molly Yetman allowed just four hits in 6.1 innings with three strikeouts and two walks, but saw her record fall to 5-2. Brittany Minton earned the win for Florida Southern as she struck out three with no walks while allowing six hits.

Perry and Sarah Teller both went two-for-three for WSU.
