Kissimmee, Fla. - The Wayne State University softball team (10-9) blanked Minnesota-Duluth (2-3) 5-0 Friday afternoon.

WSU senior pitcher Molly Yetman tossed a two-hit shutout to improve to 9-2 overall. She had nine strikeouts and two walks.

WSU snapped a scoreless tie with two runs in the top of the sixth. Jaci Banton singled after the first two batters were retired on ground out. Lisa Seymour reached on an error moving Banton to third. Lindsey Perry had a two-run double.

The next inning, Wayne State added three more runs. Sarah Berry had a leadoff single and, following an out, Robyn Haig singled. Stephanie LeClair's double scored Berry, with Haig scoring on Sarah Teller's fielder's choice. LeClair later scored on a sacrifice fly by Banton.

Wayne State stranded 10 runners to four for UMD.
