CINCINNATI - Junior left-handed pitcher Charlie Leesman has been named the Atlantic 10's Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday, April 21. This is the first weekly honor for Leesman this season and the fourth for a Musketeer.

Leesman tossed eight shutout innings on Apr. 18 in Xavier's 3-1 win over Saint Joseph's, scattering four hits and fanning six. The Cincinnati native improved to 2-3 on the season with 31 strikeouts in 40.2 innings pitched.

The Musketeers return to action Monday night at Cincinnati with first pitch at 6:30 p.m. followed by an away game at Ball State Tuesday beginning at 3 p.m. XU returns home for a single game versus Miami (Ohio) on Wednesday with first pitch at 3 p.m. as well.
