DADE CITY, Fla. - Sophomore Alan Glynn carded three rounds of 75 while junior Kyle Hodges finished in a tie for 32nd place and the Xavier University men's golf team finished in 16th place at the Ron Smith/University of South Florida Invitational at the par 72 Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Fla.  

 

Middle Tennessee took home the championship hardware with a six-under par 858.  Marquette and Florida Southern each finished in second place at eight-over par 872.  


 

 

 

Hodges fired rounds of 74-73-75 - 222 and finished a team-best six-over par to lead the way for Xavier.  Glynn was three shots off the pace set by Hodges and finished in a tie for 50th.  

 

Freshman Diego Tamayo concluded the tournament on a high note by shooting a 73 and finished the weekend in a tie for 71st along with teammate Mike Beausejour.

 

The Musketeers return to action on Monday, March 24 when the travels to Mobile, Ala. to compete in the Mobile Bay South Alabama Invitational.
