Men's Tennis to Play Two at Home

CINCINNATI - The Xavier men's tennis is set to play two at home this weekend starting with an Atlantic 10 conference matchup up with Saint Louis on Friday, Feb. 29, at 7 p.m. On Saturday, Mar. 1, the Musketeers will host Youngstown State at 7 p.m. as well. Both matches will be played at Eastern Hills Tennis Club.

XU (4-6, 0-1 A-10) is coming off a 6-1 win over Belmont on Sunday at home. Junior Doug Matthews was name A-10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday, Feb. 25. Matthews went 2-0 last week at No. 1 singles and teamed with sophomore Chris Herrlinger at No. 1 doubles for a 2-0 record also.

This will be the first conference match for Saint Louis (4-3, 0-0 A-10). The Billikens defeated McKendree, 6-1, at home on Feb. 15 their last time out as SLU's match with Duquesne scheduled for Feb. 23 was postponed.

Youngstown State (1-2) is coming off a 6-1 loss to IUPUI at home on Feb. 16. The Penguins' lone point of the match was scored by Diego Cerzosimo at No. 3 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 victory.
