Xavier is in a tie for first place in the league with a 9-2 record in Atlantic 10 play and the team is fresh off a 65-42 thumping of Fordham on Wednesday. La Salle has won its last three games and senior guard Carlene Hightower is averaging 30 points per game over that stretch.
10-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Ta'Shia Phillips tallied her 15th double-double of the season against the Rams with a 19-point, 10-rebound effort. Those 15 double-doubles are the most by any freshman in the country.
