CINCINNATI - The Xavier women's tennis team improved it record to 8-4 (1-0 A-10) for the season after defeating Atlantic 10 conference foe Saint Louis, 5-2, Friday night at the Eastern Hills Tennis Center. The Billikens slip to 2-5 overall and 0-1 in conference action.

"Our team's depth is key for us right now," commented head coach Eric Toth. "It is good to start our A-10 schedule off with a win over a quality opponent in Saint Louis."

Xavier tallied the first point of the match by taking two of the three doubles matches. In singles competition, XU won three of the six contests.

Up next for the Musketeers is a trip to Bloomington, Ind. Saturday, March 1, to take on the No. 28 Indiana Hoosiers. The match is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. and live scoring updates will be available via www.IUHoosiers.com.
