Women's Tennis Falls in 4-3 Decision to Duquesne

CINCINNATI - The Xavier University women's tennis team fell 4-3 in a close decision against Duquesne Saturday afternoon in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Musketeers move to 9-7 for the season and 2-1 in the A-10 while the Dukes improve their record to 9-4 and 4-1 in the A-10. Sophomore Jill Ducro defeated Duquesne's Rachel McGowan 6-3, 6-4. Sophomore Kaitlyn Zinn won in the No. 5 singles position 7-6 (4), 7-5 while junior Jeanette Fieder took control winning 0-6, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6.
In doubles senior Annie Diedalis and Ducro earned a win, 8-6. XU will return to action Tuesday, April 1 when they play Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. First serve is set for 3:00 p.m.
