April 11, 2008
"I thought we competed extremely well. UC really played us tough," said head coach Eric Toth. A match like this can go a long way for us heading into the conference tournament next weekend. But first we have another hurdle versus The Musketeers got off to a good start by securing the doubles point. Courtney and Feider took an 8-5 decision from UC's No. 1 doubles team. Freshmen Christie Pleiman and Tifanie Treece then defeated the Bearcats No. 2 team, 8-2, while Jill Ducro and Aylin Seyalioglu rounded out doubles play with an 8-1 thrashing at No. 3 doubles. Courtney improved to 9-7 at No. 1 singles while Ducro ran her record to 14-3 this spring with a win at No. 4 singles. Feider improved to 12-5 with a 6-0, 6-0 victory in the No. 6 singles match.
