Woodbridge, Conn. - The Bulldogs (3-3) bounced back from a two-match losing streak to defeat Syracuse (3-7) 4-3 Saturday at Tennis Central in Woodbridge, CT. Yale won the doubles point in the victory.

At No. 1 doubles, freshman Lindsay Clark and sophomore Jessica Rhee defeated Simone Kalhorn and Ashley Spicer 8-5. Senior Lindsey Dashiell and junior Janet Kim battled to an 8-5 victory over Chelsea Jones and Christia Tan at No. 2 doubles.

Yale came out strong at the top three singles spots. At No. 1 singles, Rhee defeated Tan in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. Kim rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win over Simone Kalhorn at No. 2 singles. Lindsay Clark cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Spicer at No. 3 singles.

At both No. 5 and No. 6 singles, the Bulldogs fell in hard fought three set matches. After winning the first set 6-1 at No. 5 singles, Dashiell fell in the next 7-5 before losing a tiebreaker 10-3 in the third. Making her Yale debut at No. 6 singles, Silia DeFilippis fell 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 to opponent Jacquelyn Tang.

Yale will travel to Colorado and California for its annual spring trip next week.
