New York, NY - The Bulldogs (8-8, 4-0) improved to a perfect 4-0 in the Ancient Eight with a 6-1 victory over Columbia Friday in New York. Yale won all three doubles matches in the victory.
At No. 1 doubles, junior Janet Kim and sophomore Jessica Rhee rolled to an 8-4 victory. Freshmen Lindsay Clark and Lauren Ritz won their match at No. 2 doubles 8-5. At No. 3 doubles, senior Lindsey Dashiell and freshman Stevi Petrelli pulled out an 8-5 win.
Kim battled to a 6-3, 5-7, 14-12 win at No. 1 singles. At No. 2 singles, Rhee cruised to a 6-4, 6-1 win. Lindsay Clark only needed one set at No. 3 singles as she won the first set 6-0 before her opponent retired. At No. 5 singles, Petrelli defeated her opponent 6-0, 6-4. At the No. 6 singles slot, Ritz rolled to a 6-0, 6-4 victory.
Yale will take on Cornell Saturday.
